Xfinity Email Settings For Outlook

Once you have Outlook or your other chosen email client open, enter your name and email address in the first two lines for Outlook.

• Select “Imap” from the account type dropdown
• For the incoming mail server enter “imap.comcast.net”.
• For the outgoing mail server enter “Smtp.comcast.net”.
• Next, enter your username or the account email address that you were assigned.
• And then enter the password for the email account.

Next, click on the More Setting button in the lower right corner.

Next, select the “Outgoing Server” tab. And then make sure to check “My outgoing server (SMTP)requires authentication”. And also “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.

Next, select the  “Advanced” tab.

• And then enter 993 for the incoming server port.
• Select “SSL” for the encryption type.
• Enter 587 as the port for the outgoing server.
• And then select “TLS” a.s the encryption type to utilize for the connection

And then last click on “Okay”. And then go back to the first settings window and test the settings. If it is successful, you’re all set! Otherwise double-check what you input on the previous screens.
