Atlanta Marta Rail Fare

The standard fare to ride the train is currently $2.50. And the fare includes four free transfers that can be utilized within a three-hour period. The transfers are not valid for round trips though. Meaning that you can’t take the train, exit the station and then return later and get back on the train and ride back to your original starting point. But the transfers can be used to switch bus routes, from bus to train or vise versa without any additional cost.

All Marta fares must be purchased with a Breeze Card or Breeze Tickets. Breeze cards cost $2.00 in addition to the fare that you load on the cards. And the cards are reloadable for up to 3 years. Whereas Atlanta Marta Breeze Tickets are for single use only. And they cost $1.00 in addition to the fare that you load on them. The Breeze cards are almost always the cheaper option in the long run.

There are also passes and special fare programs that you can also utilize. And Marta passes are usually the cheapest way to ride if you plan on riding multiple times on the same day. And the prices are as follows:

  • 3 Day Pass $16.00
  • 4 Day Pass $19.00
  • 7 Day Pass $23.75
  • 10 Trip Pass $25.00
  • 20 Trip Pass $42.50
  • 30 Day Pass $95.00

 

Senior citizens, disabled riders, and also Medicare Recipients

Adult riders who are 65 years old and older, who are valid Medicare cardholders, or who have a medical or mental disability pay a reduced fare of $1.00.

Senior Citizen Reduced Fare Requirements

Senior citizens age 65 years or older must provide valid photo identification. And that id must include the rider’s date of birth. Valid forms,s of identification include a current driver’s license or a state-issued form of identification, or a valid passport.

Physical or Mental Disability Reduced Fare Requirements

Physically disabled riders or those with mental disabilities can qualify for reduced fares by submitting a reduced fare form, and also one of the following.

  • A valid and current Disabled parking permit
  • Social Security Disability information
  • Veteran’s Administration data card

They may also complete a Healthcare Provider Form. And then submit it afterward.

All documentation must be accompanied by valid photo identification.

Atlanta Streetcar Fare

The Atlanta Streetcar fare is currently $1.00 for adults. And the fare for children under 46 inches is free with a paid adult fare. Each additional child must pay the adult fare though.

The streetcar fare doesn’t allow transfers to Marta Rail or Marta bus.
